Scenes from my Northwoods Vacation

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
–Henry David Thoreau

Our little cabin in the woods. Tiny.
A warm welcome
Breathtakingly blue sky

The building in the middle is the lodge, a haven with connections to the civilized world.  Can you say Wi Fi?   Building on the left is the ladies bathroom and wash house.  Camping at it’s best.  Yahhhhhh.

A random heart shaped rock

What a delight to be walking down the sandy path to the ladies bathroom and stumble upon this lovely message from the universe.  I think it was trying to tell me to just give in and love the Northwoods.

  1. just an FYI if wood is used in any way other than to burn …it is not camping …. if there is a door you can knock on ….it is not camping …. if your sleeping more than 8 inches off the ground its not camping ….just sayin …… but looks like a beautiful place …I would have loved it …. I hope you did …..
