Here are my collages to date.  I’m continually working to further develop my style and explore some new subject matter.

The water color above was done during my college watercolor class.

This collage above was inspired after reading Elizabeth Gilberts, ‘Eat Pray Love”.

Spring 2009 issue of Artful Blogging where my painting (above) was featured.

  1. Emily-Jane–i’m over from “Flying Lessons,” what a treat it is to peek in at your beautiful artwork. It looks like it would be so much fun to create. I love all of the words/quotes/messages.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Sending love,

    Julia

  2. I just popped in from flying lessons too. I love the gentle messages your work sends out. Keep at it!

  3. Lovely!! Just popping in from Kelly’s course….

  4. Hi Em, I’m glad you found me so I could find you. LOVELY work!!! I’ll need to spend a lot of time here snooping around the urban sparrow (great name).
    Warmly,
    Sue

  5. Nice to see your art! I love the top one (woman with the bird), the one with the nun and the donkey and the one with the girl in bed (looks like this is a dream or something). Keep on developing yourself!

    • Hi! I’m so glad you stopped by. I am working on making more time for art. I’m spread a bit thin with having five kids, two dogs and a husband who works at home. But that’s not excuse, I have to get myself back into making time to create. I love it and it brings me a lot of joy.

Yep, the painting of the girl in bed is a depiction of me when I was around 16. This wasn’t a dream. One night when I went to bed, in the darkness I had orbs over my bed. It was quite alarming, and I never forgot it. I wanted to make a painting remembering that moment. I was pretty happy with the results.

I hope you subscribe and stop back often. I’ll be visiting you often, too.

      Em

  6. You are incredibly talented! Your artwork was beautiful. My favorite one is “Spring Dove” and the issue of “Artful Blogging”. Are any of your paintings for sale?

    Lori Matela

    • Thank you so much Lori. You are too sweet. I have some of them listed in my etsy shop, and I’m working on more and putting them up hot off the easel. I’ll send you an email with the link to my etsy shop. I think this is my new midlife path I’m taking. It’s fun.

  7. Had a few minutes to review ur beaufiful paintings. Could tell that I missed seeing some. They are truly Awesome! Keep it comin’ girl!!
